Podcasting in a Nutshell.
A Podcast in an audio(usually MP3) or video(usually M4v) file that can be automatically downloaded to a computer or portable media player with the help of software such as iTunes.

Uses.
There are an unlimited variety of uses for a Podcast: education, commerce, entertainment to name a few.

Subscribing. Usually, the end user will "subscribe" to a particular podcast throu an interface such as iTunes or a website. After the initial subscription, the user will be able to get updated content by simply plugging in the iPod and revisitinf iTunes or the website.

How-To. Podcasting is accomplished with software available on the internet. the software allows the user to become his own DeeJay, make his own playlists or movies and insert art or photos. I use "Garage Band" from Apple.
